Abstract

Endodontically treated teeth always poses a challenge for dentists while reconstruction using the post and core system. This paper describes the clinical steps involved in reconstruction of maxillary anterior teeth. Endodontic treatment was performed first, followed by the placement of a fiber-reinforced resin post. The crown was then reconstructed with a composite restoration. Fiber posts have excellent properties, including elasticity, translucency, adaptability, tenacity, and resistance to traction and impact. They are also easy to apply, making them a viable alternative to traditional materials. The objectives of this article are to describe the various properties of fiber-reinforced composite resins with an exploration of their failure causes.
