A Device Based Treatment Option for Mitigating the Cytokine Storm in COVID-19 Patients

Abstract

A recent correspondence posed a call to arms in the battle to increase survival in COVID-19 patients. The request is for existing effective treatments to calm the hyper-inflammatory response known as the cytokine storm. Calming the cytokine storm may be key to turning COVID-19 into a non-lethal infection.
