Abstract

A brief review of the literature surrounding healthcare workers, with a focus on nurses, and how the global COVID-19 pandemic impacted their mental
health. A review of the situation before the pandemic as well as during and after the pandemic, including coping mechanisms being employed, both adaptive and not. A brief review of some actions that can be taken by management teams to support their staff as the pandemic comes to an end.
