Abstract

In this context, cooperatives - an autonomous association of persons united voluntarily to meet their common economic, social, and cultural needs and aspirations through a jointly owned and democratically controlled enterprise, emerge as a local agent that can offer a bottom-up approach in order to contribute to peacebuilding and social reconstruction.
