Abstract

Interleukin-11 (IL-11) is a member of the IL-6 family of cytokines
and has garnered attention for its multifaceted roles in various
biological processes, particularly in the context of aging and
lifespan modulation. This cytokine is implicated in several
pathophysiological conditions, including inflammation, fibrosis,
and cancer, and its expression levels have been associated with
aging-related changes in immune function and tissue homeostasis.
Understanding the role of IL-11 in aging and lifespan is crucial,
as it may provide insights into potential therapeutic interventions
to promote healthy aging and longevity.
