Abstract

What is wounded in an anorectic young person? 
The best description is by an anorectic girl when she says:
 You don’t know what it is like to be near this black hole!’ 
The black hole is a wound from loss of attunement in early 
infancy. It is opened up again during a crisis in the physically 
and emotionally developing adolescent girl whose whole brain 
is changing and her body becoming sexually mature.
