Abstract

Using LLMs (large language models), the paper shows how to approach the ethical issues involved in the increasingly popular strategy of advertising prescriptiononly weight loss drugs directly to consumers. The paper shows the background, the issues, the benefits of creating “stories” to give the topic a deeper sense of reality. The paper finishes by using LLMs to synthesize and then prescribe ten different aspects of a course devoted to critical thinking about the topic.
