Abstract

In all industries like ammonia, blue hydrogen, natural gas processing, CO2 capture unit is gaining more and more interest in meeting environmental and sustainability targets. BASF’s OASE portfolio offers two optimized solutions for this challenge: OASE white, applied for pre-combustion CO2 capture, and OASE blue, applied for post-combustion CO2 capture.

OASE blue is specifically designed for low-pressure applications, delivering superior absorption kinetics that enable smaller circulation rates and a more compact unit design compared to conventional systems. This makes it ideal for retrofits and space constrained installations. Even when air enrichment is used instead of pure oxygen, OASE blue maintains high performance, ensuring flexibility across different operating scenarios.

By combining proven gas treatment expertise with advanced formulations, OASE blue provides a sustainable pathway for reducing CO2  emissions in natural gas processing. Its adaptability to post-combustion environments and compatibility with carbon capture and storage (CCS) strategies position it as a key enabler for decarbonization in the gas industry.
