Abstract

Soft fibroma or fibroma molluscum is a benign tumor developing
from connective tissue. It can affect all organs. We report clinical,
dermoscopic, paraclinical and histological images of a soft
fibroma of unusual nail location. This is a 43-year-old patient,
who presented to the consultation for a small soft, pedunculated
nodule, of flesh-colored, painless, located at the level of the
proximal paronychium of the thumbnail of the left hand. She
presented no pain, no sensory deficit, no local inflammation and
there were no other locations. The x-ray was normal. Because of
aesthetic discomfort reported by the patient, a surgical excision
was carried out, under local anesthesia, with anatomopathological
study which confirmed the diagnosis.
