This study aimed to determine the relationship between empowerment and female entrepreneurship within the Savings and Credit Unions (UNICAS) in Cajamarca in 2024. The research was basic, quantitative, non-experimental, correlational, and cross-sectional in nature. The population consisted of 536 UNICAS in the Cajamarca region; however, a sample of 15 UNICAS-comprising exclusively women and totalling 195 individuals-was selected. The study yielded a Spearman’s Rho coefficient of 0.886, indicating a strong positive correlation. This suggests that higher levels of empowerment increase the likelihood of women starting a business. Therefore, it is essential to continue promoting economic empowerment programs and facilitating access to microfinance in order to foster economic and social development in the region.
