Abstract

The most common Renewable energies (RE) sources are solar, wind, and hydropower. RE are essential for guiding our energy system toward sustainability and supply security. Producing electricity, heat, or biofuels from renewable sources has gained high priority in national and international energy policies. To understand future RE development, it is vital to consider country- or region-specific factors, such as the potential of particular RE types and achievable near-term goals. This article explores global RE prospects, focusing on solar panels and covering technologies, production, maintenance, recycling, and applications. It also evaluates the practical deployment of these technologies and related challenges within applied energy policies. The development of solar power solutions has significantly changed how we utilize renewable energy. Flexible solar panels are leading this change, offering a more adaptable
and efficient alternative to traditional rigid panels. Technological and material advancements have created new opportunities for solar applications where conventional panels previously struggled. The shift toward renewable energy has spurred innovation in photovoltaic (PV) systems, driving the rise of flexible, lightweight, ultra-thin solar modules. Flexible panels stand out for their innovative design and technology. This review article will discuss the technology, manufacturing process, advantages, applications, the future solar panel development and beyond.
