Abstract

The Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) band in the United States, particularly the 3.5 GHz frequency range, has emerged as a pivotal asset in accelerating 5G deployment. This paper explores the strategic approaches and inherent challenges associated with implementing CBRS spectrum for 5G networks. By leveraging shared access models and spectrum management frameworks, CBRS provides opportunities for both mobile network operators
and private network implementers. This study reviews the current state of CBRS integration in 5G, highlights the primary deployment strategies, and discusses challenges in regulatory, technical, and economic domains.
