Neuroendocrine tumors are tumors developed from cells of the diffuse endocrine system characterized by
their secretory capacities [1]. These are tumors expressing endocrine (chromogranin) & neuroendocrine (Synaptophysin, NSE) markers. These tumors are rare; the annual incidence of this disease is estimated to be 2 to 5 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants, based on data from different sources, the incidence and prevalence of NETs are increasing compared to that of all malignant neoplasias [2-4]. The age of onset is most often between 40 & 60 years old.
